INDYLOVE COOKOUT is a summer celebration honoring the historic Indiana connection between Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. This event brings together alumni, Divine Nine organizations, family, friends, and GDI guests for a day filled with food, music, games, vendors, Greek pride, and community love.
Come dressed in your best Y2K-inspired attire for a chance to win the $300 Best Dressed prize.
Live DJs, cookout favorites, signature drinks, vendor booths, alumni fellowship, and family-friendly park energy.
Why INDYLOVE?
Kappa Alpha Psi was founded at Indiana University in Bloomington, while Sigma Gamma Rho was organized in Indianapolis, Indiana. INDYLOVE COOKOUT celebrates that shared Indiana legacy and brings crimson, cream, royal blue, and gold together in the spirit of unity, culture, service, and Black Greek excellence.
Event Highlights
Y2K Best Dressed Contest
Pull up in your best Y2K-inspired fit. Think early 2000s energy, bold colors, jerseys, airbrushed tees, denim, tracksuits, shades, throwback accessories, and photo-ready style. The best dressed guest will receive a $300 prize.
Live DJs & Cookout Soundtrack
High-energy DJ sets curated for Greek classics, R&B, hip-hop, throwbacks, line dances, cookout anthems, and Y2K favorites. DJ Kreated is confirmed. We're seeking two more DJs to complete the lineup.
Food, Grills & Signature Drinks
Catering logistics are being finalized. The team has experience serving large audiences, and grill accommodations are being coordinated — expect two extra grills on the scene.
Vendor Market
Vendor participation is limited to 12 total vendors. Fees and contract terms are under review. Vendors are selected based on category, presentation, quality, and overall fit. Duplicate categories may be limited.

While INDYLOVE COOKOUT proudly celebrates Kappa Alpha Psi and Sigma Gamma Rho, invitations extend to all Divine Nine organizations, alumni, family, friends, and GDI guests. This is a community celebration built on unity, fellowship, culture, and love.

Family-Friendly Cookout Energy
Alumni attendance is highly anticipated, and the event is designed to welcome both grown social energy and family-friendly engagement. A bounce house is currently being evaluated.
Cravens Park
The event permit has been secured for Cravens Park. Expect an outdoor park setting with space for food, music, vendors, games, family activities, and social gathering.
